Taco Enhances its Commercial Design Suite Software
Users of Taco’s System Design Suite software, a powerful collection of hydronic design tools,
can now download updates automatically.
All three Design Suite components – the Taco Hydronic System Solution Software,
Taco Load Tool and System Analysis Tool software – now provide even more functionality
with their latest updates.
The Taco Design Suite includes:
Taco Hydronic System Solution® Software (or “HS2”) uses dynamic, drag-and-drop technology to assist HVAC
designers in the design of hydronic systems, setting system parameters and HVAC equipment scheduling. Users
can standardize designs, use pre-made schematics, eliminate mistakes and reduce errors.
Also included in the newly-revised HS2:
- New controls layer to create control logic, wiring and network diagrams.
- Expanded System Wizard to include two-pipe and single-pipe systems.
- Added Aquatherm, ProPress and PEX pipe and fittings.
- Download Taco submittals, literature, CAD drawings (2D and 3D) for Taco equipment selected by software.
Import loads directly from Taco Load Tool and Revit 3D model.
With the new controls layer the HS2 layout becomes an HVAC background template, permitting drag-and-drop of the controls components. Select Taco iWorx thermostats, controllers, variable speed drives, sensors, accessories, etc. Users can also create schedules of controllers and accessories and I/O points list.
Taco Load Tool is a quick and reliable way for HVAC professionals to calculate heat gains/losses from buildings,
model those buildings, and size HVAC systems accordingly.
Convenient drop-down menus make it easy to select different construction assemblies, materials and other design parameters, and its fully interactive design immediately updates all results when any parameter is changed.
Taco System Analysis Tool (now in version 2.0) makes sizing, selecting and designing HVAC systems easier and faster. It enables HVAC pros to compare energy and life cycle costs of up to four HVAC systems simultaneously. It offers a practical, fast and reliable tool for evaluation and comparison of various system and product design options in design stages.
- Convenient drop-down menus make it easy to select equipment and
distribution systems to model a system. A drop-down menu is also available
to select predefined systems – a real time-saver for system configurations.
- The program is interactive. As data is entered, the program calculates
results and presents them quickly.
- Just added: modeling for chilled beams and radiant cooling and heating
systems. This includes modeling for LOFloTM injection pumping systems.
Use any of the tools in the Taco Design Tools Suite to accomplish a wide variety of hydronic design tasks quickly,
online and in real time. Then download the results for immediate accessibility.
