iWorx Enhanced with Open Protocol

Chicago, IL – January 23, 2012 – Taco’s iWorx® building control system is now even more configurable and flexible with its new GCI (Graphical Control Interface) series of integration devices. The GCI series utilizes JENEsys™ and NiagaraAX Framework technology, providing simple integration with the most widely used building automation systems.

With the push of a single button, every iWorx controller is self-discovered on the system network and seamlessly integrates with any existing LonWorks®, ModBus® & BACnet® building automation protocol.

This allows for the easy upgrade of equipment control, addition of new equipment, building HVAC expansion or integration to an existing graphical front-end. The open protocol bridge expands the range of iWorx application possibilities and increases the value and flexibility of iWorx controllers to the building owner or property manager.

Now, iWorx includes advanced hydronic controllers designed for emerging markets in geothermal, chilled beam applications, and BTU metering applications. The New iWorx controllers provide complete system control capability to maximize system efficiencies and simplify installation.
