Air Separator Eliminates Bubbles

Taco’s 4900 series air separator has eliminated costly and troublesome servicing to remove air bubbles and algae from a school’s hydronic systems.

Air elimination in hydronic systems is an important requirement when it comes to system efficiency and comfort. The presence of tiny air bubbles in system water causes noise and contributes to equipment degradation over time due to corrosion caused by bacteria growth. Repeatedly purging the system of unwanted air requires annoying contractor call backs.

This is what happened in a hydronic, heat-pump system installed in Montwood High School, part of the Socorro Independent School District in El Paso, TX.
